Serafina was born among the strong goliaths of the western mountains. As a child she was often sickly, and weak. Her clan decided it would be best to leave her to the mountain’s will.
However, it was not the mountain’s will that she should die. For she was found by a band of dwarven merchants who had just returned home from a rather successful trading bought.
The lead of the band, a dwarf by the name of Veit of the Ungart clan took pity on the child, and adopted her.
As she grew (and grew!), Serafina spent much of her time training to be a fighter alone in the wilds, despite her adoptive, merchant-class father.
When she was old enough, she started heading out to defend her father’s caravans on their long journeys, and eventually, she decided to head off into the wilds on her own.
From there it was an easy leap to make from protecting caravans to protecting people. Her time alone with nature had made her a true warden of the wilds, and her earthen roots gave her the durability of stone.
